Therapy is not the only answer.

Although therapy can be a tremendous support for you, it is only one piece of the puzzle for your overall well-being. Many therapists work closely with organizations, as we view your health and well-being holistically. Additional resources, such as podcasts, books, community involvement, and organizations, are worth reviewing because they can aid your recovery.

Community or organization resources are vital for therapy because they provide emotional and peer support, offer practical assistance and tools, and foster a sense of belonging and connection. All of these elements are essential to mental health recovery and well-being. These additional resources provide holistic care by reducing stigma, increasing competence and control by encouraging individuals to take charge of their recovery, and building resilience by connecting individuals with peers who share similar experiences and can offer guidance.

These teams respond to individuals in crisis who exhibit mental health symptoms, may be suicidal or at-risk, and need an evaluation for psychiatric hospitalization. Teams are made up of multiple clinicians and therapists with training and expertise in crisis response.

Mobile Crisis Response Teams work closely with law enforcement, crisis hotlines, the community, and family members. The services they provide include crisis screening, intervention, de-escalation services, and connecting or referring people to community resources.

The Mobile Crisis Response Teams are available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 8 pm. A clinician is available 24/7 to assess the situation and connect the caller to appropriate services. Over 200 languages are available through a language service line.
